Enyucados en Tortas con Queso - Patties of Cassava with Cheese

Harina - Flour
1/2 Cup
Queso blanco - Cheese
Huevo - Egg

Steps

  1. Hervir la yuca con un poco de sal. - Boil the cassava with a pinch of salt.
  2. Pasar la yuca cocinada a un tazón. Agregar la harina y el huevo hasta hacer un puré. - Put the cassava on a bowl. Add the flour and egg and smash into a pure.
  3. Con las manos hacer las tortas. Colocar en cada torta un pedacito de queso en el medio y tapar con la masa. - With your hands form the patties. In the middle of the patties place a small piece of cheese.
  4. En un sartén caliente con aceite colocar los enyucados. Darle vuelta para cocinar por ambos lados. - In a boiling frying pan, place the patties. Turn them over so they cook on both sides.
  5. Luego de cocinarlos, colocarlos en una servilletas para que absorban el aceite extra. - After cooking, place them on top of napkins so that the extra grease gets absorbed.
  6. Recomendado servir con escabeche. - Recommend serving with a pickled sauce.
